Practical Truism:
A self-evident truth acquired through action. |

No one really knows, for certain, what this world is all about, and I’d be plenty wary of anyone who claims that he does. But there are some things that I noticed while I was here... things that proved to be true time and again, things that helped me achieve my goals, get results, and be happy. This book was not written about cancer, nor was it ever intended to be for cancer patients in particular. These concepts pertain to life, all of it. Yet, at the same time, it does pertain to cancer, because dealing with illness, our own, or that of our loved ones, is a part of life that we all must deal with at one time or another. These truisms cover every aspect of life, from the mundane to the esoteric. You don’t need to read them in order, you can turn to any page you wish. Each page stands alone, although the truisms are arranged into categories. There is a page by page index in the back, to help you re-locate a particular truism more easily. There is a also a list of “Ineffective Thinking Habits” on pages 185-186. Recognizing your thinking in the descriptions is half-way to fixing your negative thoughts and being a happier person, every day, no matter what else is going on in your life. Christine Stewart |
